Ska Six Piece Stage Plot Template for Horn Band Shows
A ska six piece stage plot template with guitar, bass, drums, keys and a two horn section, built two-tone style around a singing guitarist for horn band gigs.

What this template covers
This ska six piece stage plot template covers the two-tone style lineup: guitar, bass, drums and keys as the rhythm section, plus a trumpet and trombone standing together downstage right, each on a clip-on horn mic. The guitarist carries lead vocal, which keeps the band at six pieces without adding a dedicated singer, and the horn section shares one wedge, which is standard practice since horn players are used to mixing themselves against each other.
Horn players read off each other more than off a monitor, so keep the trumpet and trombone close enough to make eye contact even while sharing one wedge. If a baritone sax joins as a third horn, add a matching clip-on mic and player icon rather than routing it through an existing channel, since every horn needs its own line for a proper mix.
The input list derives a full kit, one mic'd guitar cab, a DI'd bass guitar, a stereo keys channel, one mic per horn player, and a lead vocal mic. The horn players themselves never show up on the input list, since the clip-on mics are what actually generate the channels.
How to use it
Open the template and adjust the horn section spacing for how your players actually stand. Rename channels, swap the keys patch, and if a third horn joins the section, duplicate a horn mic and player icon and give it its own line.
- Four piece kit, fully mic'd
- Guitar amp, mic'd, bright and clean for the skank
- Bass on a DI, cab shown for backline only
- Stereo keys channel plus a clip-on mic per horn player
- Guitarist on lead vocal, horn section sharing one wedge
Send the link to the venue ahead of the show, since a horn section always adds a few extra minutes to line check.
