Funk
Funk Band with Horns Stage Plot Template for Live Gigs
A funk band stage plot template with a full horn section, rhythm section and lead vocal laid out, so you can advance a tight, groove heavy gig in minutes.

What this template covers
Drums, bass, guitar and keys form the pocket, congas sit stage right of the kit for extra groove, and a trumpet, sax and trombone line work a downstage row in front of the horns' amps. The lead vocal sits centre front. Every player gets a wedge, because a funk band lives or dies on tight rhythm section timing and everyone needs to hear the kick and the bass clearly.
The input list builds itself the moment the icons land on the stage: a full mic'd kit, a bass DI, a mic'd guitar cab, a stereo keys pair, one channel for the congas, three horn channels on condenser clip mics, and a lead vocal. The bass cab is backline only, so it never adds a second bass channel you have to clean up.
Who uses this template
Funk, soul and Tower of Power style bands running a horn section and a percussionist, wedding and corporate bands crossing over into funk sets, and engineers who need a fast, accurate funk band stage plot to hand a venue before a groove-heavy show. Anyone who has ever tried to explain a horn line and a conga rig over the phone to a house engineer will get the value here.
Channel walkthrough
Seventeen channels: eight from the drum kit, one bass DI, one mic'd guitar cab, two from the stereo keys, one conga channel, one channel each for trumpet, sax and trombone, and one lead vocal. The horns default to condenser mics with phantom on, matching a clip-on mic on the bell rather than a handheld dynamic.
Monitor notes
Nine wedges, one per performer, drummer included. Horn players and the percussionist need the kick and snare loud enough to lock the pocket, so build their mixes around the rhythm section first and blend the rest in.
Customize it
Open the template in the editor and reposition the horn line to match your real riser plan, swap the congas for a full percussion rig if your percussionist runs more gear, or drop the third horn if you carry a two piece section. Rename channels to your actual lineup before export.
When your layout matches the stage, share the link or export a PDF so the house engineer has it before load in.
