This country five piece stage plot mirrors how most touring country bands actually split roles: four musicians plus a singer who's free to work the crowd.

Who uses it

Bar bands, honky-tonk regulars, and fair or festival country acts running a full rhythm section plus steel. If your steel player doubles on dobro or your band skips the steel entirely, the layout still holds, just swap or remove that one position. A frontperson who isn't tied to an instrument also gives the sound engineer a clear picture of who's roaming the stage and needs a wireless mic instead of a fixed stand.

Customize it

Add a fiddle or swap the steel amp for a DI'd pedal steel rig if that's what your player runs; either way it's one instrument, one channel. If the lead vocalist plays acoustic guitar on a few songs, add a stand near their mic position rather than rebuilding the plot.
