Component Video Stage Plot Icon

Put the Component Video icon on the drawing and the video element stops being an assumption. It reserves upstage space and documents the signal feed the venue has to supply, so the crew can plan power, space, and access around it.

Drag it onto the canvas, resize it, rename the label, and it lands in the exported PDF exactly where you left it.

Using the Component Video icon on a stage plot

Where it goes on stage

Where it sits on the deck changes how the rest of the plot reads. Walls and screens sit upstage of the band and raised where possible, so the top of the picture clears the drum riser and the heads in front of it. Snap the icon to the grid and the distances stay believable on a printed page.

What the crew needs to know

Say this part explicitly. Confirm the source and the connector for every feed. Video is where most show day signal problems begin.

On the input list

Component Video is not an audio source, so it adds no rows to the input list. It is there to make the drawing accurate: it reserves upstage space and documents the signal feed the venue has to supply, and the channel count stays clean because nothing silent is padding it out.

Console exports

The input list behind the plot exports as a Behringer X32 or Midas M32 scene file, a Behringer Wing scene, or CSV channel names for Allen and Heath dLive, Avantis, and SQ, DiGiCo, and Yamaha CL and QL desks. See the console guides.

Gear that usually shares the plot

Reserves upstage space and documents the signal feed the venue has to supply is only part of the picture. These icons come from Misc Tech, Cables and Cases, Stairs, Risers, Trusses, the sections that most often appear on the same drawing.
