Cables stage plot icons
Cable icons exist so a stage plot can say exactly what connector is expected at each end of a run. Most advance problems are connector problems. A plot that shows a female XLR to quarter inch adapter at the keyboard rig removes a five minute conversation at soundcheck and a scramble through a spares case.
Where it goes. Cable icons usually sit beside the gear they serve rather than on a fixed part of the deck, close enough that the pairing is obvious in print.
Worth confirming. Adapters are the items most often missed in a truck pack. Drawing them is what makes them countable.

Categories that usually appear alongside Cables
Stage plots are rarely single category drawings. These sections carry the gear that tends to sit next to cables on the same plot.
