HDMI (Video) Stage Plot Icon

Advancing a show means answering "what is arriving and where does it go". The HDMI (Video) icon answers both: it reserves upstage space and documents the signal feed the venue has to supply and it holds its position to scale on the printed plot.

Add it, label it, and save the plot. The next time this band books, the layout is already done.

Using the HDMI Video icon on a stage plot

Where it goes on stage

Put it where it will really stand, not where it is convenient to draw. Walls and screens sit upstage of the band and raised where possible, so the top of the picture clears the drum riser and the heads in front of it. Stageplot Pro keeps every icon to scale, so the spacing you draw is the spacing the crew builds.

What the crew needs to know

The detail that saves a phone call. Confirm the source and the connector for every feed. Video is where most show day signal problems begin.

On the input list

HDMI (Video) is not an audio source, so it adds no rows to the input list. It is there to make the drawing accurate: it reserves upstage space and documents the signal feed the venue has to supply, and the channel count stays clean because nothing silent is padding it out.

Console exports

Because the input list is generated rather than typed, it exports straight to console: X32 and M32 scene files, Wing scenes, and CSV channel names for the Allen and Heath, DiGiCo, and Yamaha families. See the console guides.

Gear that usually shares the plot

Reserves upstage space and documents the signal feed the venue has to supply is only part of the picture. These icons come from Misc Tech, Cables and Cases, Stairs, Risers, Trusses, the sections that most often appear on the same drawing.
