A plot earns its keep by settling positions before anyone opens a case. Shields sit in a shallow arc downstage of the kit, with a gap left on one side for the drummer to get in and out. Anything unusual about the position belongs in the plot notes, so the drawing carries its own explanation.
Worth confirming in the advance. Confirm panel count and whether a lid is used. A lidded shield needs its own drummer monitoring plan, usually in ears.
