Drum Shields stage plot icons
Drum shield icons matter most in worship rooms and small clubs where the kit is simply louder than the room can carry. A shield changes the drummer's monitoring, the overhead mic placement, and the floor space the kit occupies, so it belongs on the drawing rather than in an email.
Where it goes. Shields sit in a shallow arc downstage of the kit, with a gap left on one side for the drummer to get in and out.
Worth confirming. Confirm panel count and whether a lid is used. A lidded shield needs its own drummer monitoring plan, usually in ears.
