Where it goes on stage
A plot earns its keep by settling positions before anyone opens a case. Percussion sits stage right or stage left of the kit, close enough to lock in with the drummer and far enough away to keep mic bleed manageable. Anything unusual about the position belongs in the plot notes, so the drawing carries its own explanation.
What the crew needs to know
Worth confirming in the advance. Percussion rigs need more stands than anyone expects. Count short booms straight off the drawing before the truck is packed.
On the input list
Concert Snare Drum produces one channel on the input list, defaulting to a Dynamic input, a short boom stand and phantom power off. It sorts at position 2 in the drums first, vocals last channel order that front of house engineers expect. Change any of it per plot; the default just means you rarely have to.
Console exports
Channel names travel with the plot. Export a scene file for an X32, M32, or Wing, or a channel name CSV for dLive, Avantis, SQ, DiGiCo, and Yamaha CL and QL. See the console guides.
