Strings & Wind

Bass Clarinet Stage Plot Icon

Bass Clarinet is one of 38 Strings & Wind icons in the Stageplot Pro library. It marks an acoustic source that needs a condenser, a boom, and phantom power, and it carries its own input list behaviour, so the channel count stays honest as the drawing changes.

Position it, scale it, duplicate it for a second player, and the input list follows along without a rebuild.

Using the Bass Clarinet icon on a stage plot

Where it goes on stage

A plot earns its keep by settling positions before anyone opens a case. Horn sections sit in a shallow arc upstage of the front line. Bowed strings sit seated, usually stage left, with enough clearance for bow arms. Anything unusual about the position belongs in the plot notes, so the drawing carries its own explanation.

What the crew needs to know

Worth confirming in the advance. Confirm phantom power availability on the console. Condenser channels fail silently when it is switched off, which wastes soundcheck time.

On the input list

Bass Clarinet produces one channel on the input list, defaulting to a Condenser input, a boom stand and 48V phantom power switched on. It sorts at position 7 in the drums first, vocals last channel order that front of house engineers expect. Change any of it per plot; the default just means you rarely have to.

Console exports

The input list behind the plot exports as a Behringer X32 or Midas M32 scene file, a Behringer Wing scene, or CSV channel names for Allen and Heath dLive, Avantis, and SQ, DiGiCo, and Yamaha CL and QL desks. See the console guides.

Gear that usually shares the plot

Marks an acoustic source that needs a condenser, a boom, and phantom power is only part of the picture. These icons come from Mics, Music Stands and People, the sections that most often appear on the same drawing.
