Strings & Wind stage plot icons

Strings and wind instruments default to condenser microphones with phantom power in Stageplot Pro, which is the setting most often missed on a hand drawn plot. The category covers everything from a four piece horn section to a single mandolin, and each instrument brings a different mic position and a different amount of floor space with it.

Where it goes. Horn sections sit in a shallow arc upstage of the front line. Bowed strings sit seated, usually stage left, with enough clearance for bow arms.

Worth confirming. Confirm phantom power availability on the console. Condenser channels fail silently when it is switched off, which wastes soundcheck time.
