People stage plot icons

People icons are the fastest way to make a stage plot readable. A venue crew scanning the drawing sees the band first and the gear second, and figures communicate spacing in a way that plain boxes never do. These icons carry no channels of their own. The microphone or instrument next to them does that work.

Where it goes. Performer figures sit on the downstage line for front of band positions and further upstage for the rhythm section, spaced the way the band actually works.

Worth confirming. Match figure count to the contracted band size. A plot that shows eight people against a booking for six starts a conversation nobody wants on show day.

Every icon below has its own page covering placement, input list behaviour, and the gear most often placed next to it.

Stage plots are rarely single category drawings. These sections carry the gear that tends to sit next to people on the same plot.
