The Female XLR to 1 4" (No. 007) icon documents signal flow, not just scenery. It documents the connector or run the crew has to supply, which is the part of a plot the audio department reads first.
Place it, rotate it, and give it a label that matches the language your crew already uses. The export keeps all of it.
Stage position is the thing that gets argued about at load in, so it is worth drawing accurately. Cable icons usually sit beside the gear they serve rather than on a fixed part of the deck, close enough that the pairing is obvious in print. If the room forces a compromise, move the icon and export again. A fresh PDF is cheap; an argument at load in is not.
One thing worth writing down. Adapters are the items most often missed in a truck pack. Drawing them is what makes them countable.
