Audio crews read a stage plot backwards, from the console out to the stage. The JDI Stereo icon marks a point where the crew has to land power or a direct feed, so that read finishes without a phone call.
Position it, scale it, duplicate it for a second player, and the input list follows along without a rebuild.
A plot earns its keep by settling positions before anyone opens a case. Power drops sit upstage of the performer and out of walking lines. Direct boxes sit at the player's feet so the instrument cable stays short and the noise floor stays low. Anything unusual about the position belongs in the plot notes, so the drawing carries its own explanation.
Worth confirming in the advance. Count these before you send the plot. A missing quad box is one of the most common reasons a load in stalls, and it is trivially avoidable on paper.
JDI Stereo is not an audio source, so it adds no rows to the input list. It is there to make the drawing accurate: it marks a point where the crew has to land power or a direct feed, and the channel count stays clean because nothing silent is padding it out.
